War Child is an organisation that campaigns on behalf of children

The International Save the Children
Alliance
The International Save the Children Alliance comprises 30
organisations around the world. You can find national Save the
Children sections through the site. Also of interest is Children
of War, a newsletter of the Swedish Save the Children which
concentrates on the issue of child soldiers.

- Amnesty International
Amnesty International provide reports on children's rights and conflict
at regular intervals. Also of interest is the Children's
Action '99 Project

- Coalition to Stop the
Use of Child Soldiers
This United Kingdom based NGO campaigns for the adoption and adherence
to national, regional and international legal standards prohibiting
the military recruitment and use in hostilities of anyone under
the age of eighteen. The site contains a wide range of information
with regard to news, reports by continent, themes, information networks
and other sources.

- Children
of the Storm
A UK charity which offers a support network for refugees attending
schools which have little resources. They aim to help children who
are victims of breaches of human rights, war, civil disturbance
or other disasters.

- Save the Children: U.S.
Save the Children: U.S. are a member of the Alliance and host to
the Save the Children Headquarters in Westport, Connecticut, USA.
The site provides a variety of information on their work including
a fact
sheet on children and war.

International Rescue Committee
A voluntary organization which provides 'relief, protection, and
resettlement services for refugees and victims of oppression or
violent conflict.' One of its main focuses is on 'Children Affected
by Armed Conflict'.
